Any old Brides Glen-onians here? Is there a local historical society?

Where the M50 passes over Brides Glen Road there is a long tree-lined driveway that leads up to what looks like a tyre storage facility.

Anyone know what was there before this - a mansion, country style house or hotel?

Yes, thanks, but I couldn't find anything relevant. I have an old road map from 1973 and the driveway is shown but no details and Google Earth's "Go-Back-In-Time" facility wasn't any help either because earlier than 2005 is not visible.

OSI map from 100 years back has 'Brides Glen House' at that location. http://map.geohive.ie/mapviewer.html

OpenStreetMap is showing a B&B still at that location.

I grew up across the road, it is and always was a farm. More recently establishing as a b and b also.

No, nothing there relevant to the query BUT those videos are two great finds. I've been wondering if there was a way to get up to the top and video what's there and now you've saved me the climb 😀. Many thanks.
