Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

General Thread for the Scottish Premiership season 21/22.

As I post the first Rangers v Celtic game of the season is underway with the very unusual scenario of home fams only - 600 days since the last time they played with fans at the game.

Rangers (4-3-3): McCrorie; Balogun, Goldson, Helander, Barisic; Kamara, Davis, Aribo; Roofe, Morelos, Kent. SubsWright, Lundstram, Arfield, Hagi, Bacuna, Itten Fashion Jr.

Celtic (4-3-3): Hart; Ralston, Starfelt, Welsh, Juranovic; Christie, McGregor, Turnbull; Abada, Edouard, Furuhashi. Subs: Bitton, Ajeti, Soro, Rogic, Urhoghide, Bain, Montgomery.

Rangers v Celtic was a good watch.

Surprised it only had one goal, obviously the first half miss for Celtic should not happen but the both teams looked to win and it was even.

Celtic have taken on their new coaches style if play quickly and have to imagine it will continue to improve.

Rangers showed great resolve after the week they had.

Could be a much closer battle this season.

Interesting to see Hibs and Hearts at the top right now, having matched results through the first few weeks and they play each other in the next round of games.

Good thread. I believe title will be much closer this season, this is what will generate most interest in Scottish football for sponsors etc. After today, I think Rangers have probably justified their tag as favourites with bookies. However, titles not won or lost in August.

Celtic look great going forward, but when they come up against quality opposition, both against Rangers and in Europe, they will need to defend better.
