Stray cat advice

We always have a number of cats coming through our garden which has never bothered us, but recently a stray cat has been coming through our windows and into the house. We think it's living in a sheltered part of the garden near the oil burner. Neither of us are cat lovers, and don't know much about them. Just looking for advice on stopping this cat coming into the house, and what's best to do for it- should we feed it, or leave it fend for itself? Anything else we should be doing.

Scare it out of the house, anytime you see it approaching a window/door, not sure what else to do. We have a stray, we have been feeding it because it was starving. Rang our local rescue centre and there is a catch, neuter, release scheme available and we're bringing her to get tested for feline diseases and if negative negative will be neutered. Our new neighbours are going to take her then.

We have 2 dogs and they're driven mad with her around.

If you're definitely sure he's owned by no one, I'd consider getting in contact with a rescue. There's a chance he could be getting on a bit in age, some cats crave the comfort of a warm, safe refuge. If you start feeding any of them you're going to be inviting them into your home.

A stray cat will not settle into your home after feeding it unless it has already had a human owner.Stray cats are mostly feral.Your visitor could have ben abandoned in the locality.
