    Hi ,

I'm getting a new male kitten in 5 weeks time and I'm nervous about introducing my 1.5 year old male cat to him,

My current cat can come and go as he pleases , obviously the new kitten will be inside until he's neutered.

Has anyone any ideas on how to introduce them , im worried they won't get on, am I doing the right thing

Have a watch of some Jackson Galaxy videos and read his article on introducing cats:

He's very good and we followed his advice when introducing any of our cats. Bottom line is to go slowly and allow your current cat to get used to the new kitten's smell. Give the kitten his own room so you can control the introductions. Set up his food/litter/water/bed in there so he has all he needs. Don't panic if it doesn't go well at first, just give them time. Worst case scenario is they'll hate each other but over time they should soften up.
