2011 Audi A6 airbag error code

    hi all


    my sons Audi A6 2011 has developed an airbag fault light on and i get the following error message when running Vag COM,

    Any idea's as to how to fix it and is it on the drivers or passenger side.

    Hi,

    The error is in the last part of your log:


    ”1 Fault Found:

    9440017 - Driver's side; side-airbag igniter 

     B100B 11 [137] - Short to Ground”

    I had a quick google there. They suggested checking the airbag harness connector under the drivers seat and the other end on the floor under the drivers seat. Unplug and plug them in. Inspect for corrosion or dampness. You will probably have to remove the seat to do this. Reset the error using vagcom afterwards and see if it returns.
