Will be putting a new pvc fence between my house and my neighbours.

His house is a council house and currently there is a fence between us at the moment.

It's 50m long and consists of concrete stakes and wires which is in poor condition with several stakes leaning a lot and loos wire.

I could put my fence on my side of the existing fence but I was talking to my neighbour about it and asked would he prefer to get rid of the old fence so he'd have all the benefits of a new fence and not the eyesore that's there now.

Obviously he would be delighted, not to mention getting a new fence for free.

Just wondering do I contact the council and should I expect any problems?

New fence will be 50m long and 4ft high.
