Probably just luck of the draw really. I was holding my own in Elite - losing a few, winning a few etc. Now in Div 2 i've won 4 out of 5 so far. The one i lost though, was a hammering.

Have they got Maignan in goal, with a back 4 of Traore, Kimpembe, Kounde and Mendy with Fekir in CM cos thats what im seeing a lot

POTM Salah is out, just mostly +1s over his SIF, coming in around 800k from scratch which really isn't all that bad

I was holding any ligue 1 bronzes from the BPM for this sbc (as well as the other top leagues) but seeing as most of the packs are untradeable i sold all of the Ligue 1, MLS, Eredivisie this morning for about 2k each.

Remember when the league sbc's had a decent player pick - that sean maguire card form a few years back was incredible.

Can't remember the last time I made even half that from Marquee Matchups.

It used to be great, but they've nerfed it to death over the last couple of years.

I'll definitely do that Salah anyway. Probably a bit expensive considering there's usually best of totw promo something around black Friday which would cause his SIF to drop more but I like having a Liverpool POTM in my team.

Will probably do him gradually though as fodder is high at the moment and should drop at some point in the next two weeks.

Hopefully there's a Liverpool midfielder to link him to in the new promo.

Blargh, 1-5 in qualifiers.

I do believe the new season has brought badk a certain type of player. Not nessecarily higher quality ones, but the ones who play with pacy attackers, drop deep, “mad skills”, long celebrations, etc. The type I tend to struggle with, and who I felt had stopped playing for a while at the end of last season (likely when they’d run out of WL qualifiers).

Played 3 champs finals games today -

• 1st game - was the battle of Robbie Keanes - 6-6 with robbie scoring at least 8 of the 12 goals. I scraped the penalty win
• 2nd game - he was making mistakes so the win was there for the taking but......he quit JUST as he conceded a penalty. Prick!!
• 3rd game - got torn apart by a guy who's team was worse than mine in every position with one exception..base Cruyff. Cruyff tore my defenders apart and i rage quit at 5 ni

Everyone is doing that poxy corner routine now… goal every single time. Have tried everything to defend - second man press, covering far post manually etc but always get outjumped and my GK gets lobbed with the header.

Oh and I play against Kimpembe every single game who can seemingly just sprint at my attackers and take the ball. If anyone was ever considering it, don't get RVP, hes horrendous. Been trying to sell him for a week to minimise my loss but he just won't leave 😂

Corners are the most dangerous thing in the game. Concede one to someone who knows how to score them and you can’t do much to defend, or, win one yourself but fail to score and the opponent will break the other end to score 😂

Milestone packs were shite for me anyway… had a total 3x 100k and 1x tradeable 50k. Nothing of note barring discard IFs and an 85 rated from the 100ks, the Adidas Diawara and 2x discard IFs from the 50k.

Do they not watch players in real life when doing the attributes, i was looking at the market and noticed adidas Florian Nuehaus there going cheap, fits my team but he has 66 pace (down 1 from last year) and bad shooting, then on the next page, i see Pepe, and he has 80 pace, up 14 from last fifa, honestly 😄

Is it just me or is that Hummels card practically a waste of money, 50acc and 69 sprint speed, with 67 stamina, even if he can run, he'll be to tired to, i'd sooner spend 10-15k extra on RTTK Tapsoba, already great defensive attributes with pace along with an incoming upgrade

Qualified 5-1, started at 4-1 in the first game guy quit at 0-0 midway through the first half. Second game I was 4-1 down and his connection dropped. Was given the win in the next game.

This promo is fairly crap tbh. Players like Hummels and Rice could do with Pace upgrades but they get passing and cards like Jota have to wait until near TOTS to get a plus 8 to his sprint stat which won't even be noticeable.

Got a good bit of fodder from rivals and the season 1 rewards so I went ahead and finished Salah. Cost me about 350k in coins and only pull of note from the packs was the new Hummels who I instantly sold for 30k which isn't bad considering he's completely unusable.

Trying to figure out how to fit him into my 4222 team now which is proving hard with chemistry. Will have to decide on whether to drop the serie a or the la liga side of my team in favour of premier league to fit him in.

Spent the last of my coins on Messi after much deliberation (and seeing how awful the latest promo was), so I'm running the above for this weekend in-game. Everyone on 10 chem except Messi on 7.

My only concern is that he may not be involved enough at RF and would be much more effective as a CAM or ST, but RTTK Politano has done very well for me in that position up to now and has a very decent goal contribution record, so I'm hopeful.

I might look at trying a two striker formation with Messi and Di Natale as the two ST's during the week also if I feel he's wasted as an RF.

One thing I've really enjoyed about this FIFA is how accessible the top tier players are with the way the market is. In years gone by I couldn't have dreamed of using Di Natale or Messi without hitting the pack luck jackpot, especially not in early November anyway!

Our teams are almost identical, or they were until I changed it up today.

I actually dropped Politano and switched Dybala to CF and put him at RF, only 7 chem for him but I feel he's been way more useful for me there. Put Barella (base) in in CM where you have Dybala.

Have about 520k in coins now, just 250k to go until Di Natale.

I think I might have the wrong chems on players though. I have anchor on Tonali, Maestro on Vidal, Hunter on Insigne and Sentinel on Hernandez. Would you recommend changing these? I have to admit I just kinda picked randomly. I have finisher on Dybala at RF.

Caved and bought my team… 2.3m spent, 1.8m remaining. Had time to play 3 games and won all 3. Ginola scored 8 goals total… took me to the 3rd game to score a goal that wasn’t with Ginola. Fantastic card, does absolutely everything. Phenomenal in the air too.

FUTbin is great for showing you what stats will change with different chem types on them, they’ll also show you the most popular ones being used for them.

As Mr moon said look at futbin but you probably want shadow on tonali and same on vidal and anchor on Hernandez. Dybala hunter or maestro .
