Have B + AM licence plastic licence ( Irish one for 2 years ) , transferred from UK paper one that I had some 32 years.

    Been scootering ( 49cc ) for 8 years

booked theory for Dec, plan on IBT ( A ) in 2022.

I need to have a learner permit, for IBT, and then for onward riding ( of the bigger than 49cc I plan on getting ) till test .

When I apply for this at NDLS, do they add this to my existing plastic licence, or do I get a separate bit of plastic for the A learner permit only ?

    Ta

You get a second license. The learner's permit is a new card. But any points you get on either goes on both.
