Is it just me, or is there a little push back in the media against Keighley's events this year? Maybe it's only wishful thinking, but I thought I noticed a touch more snark aimed in his direction, or a few more eye rolls when discussing him and the blandness of all things SGF. One outlet (can't remember who now) definitely discussed how he would likely quell any discussion on all the industry job losses beyond some meaningless platitude at the start of the show. He can't upset his corporate masters after all.

2K have disappointed me most of my adult life, i am familiar with their game.

Similar to the GeForce leak bonanza of a few years back, a lot of unannounced games are leaking via Epic's DB (similar to SteamDB). Epic were smart enough to give a lot of the games codenames, and it seems some of the entries have been put there by bad actors, but reddit and ResetEra are hard at work deciphering everything.

That's 1 incredible game, one fantastic game. two decent games and GoW3 and Ascension, which aren't exactly horrible and could do with a decent framerate that doesn't spend most of its time at 15-20 fps.

Great value for money.

Most of those games are stuck on PS3 or older hardware so it's actually a worthwhile remaster

I wholeheartedly encourage remasters of that sort - the games aren’t easily playable on modern hardware, and a collection would be great value. Exactly what comprehensive classic anthologies should offer.

It’s the bizarre remasters or remakes of games that have excellent and readily playable versions already that I consider a tremendous waste of time and resources, when so many classics remain unavailable on modern devices.

Makes sense. Gotham Knights and Suicide Squad bombed, Asylum is probably the most-loved game, and a remake would be easier and quicker to get out the door.

I mean, it's absolutely horrible, unnecessary, devoid of all creativity and passion, and is just an all-round cash grab. But it makes sense why they'd do it. At the very least it might be something to work on, get out the door and grab a bit of cash flow to make what they should be working on; a Batman Beyond game. Something they should have been working on once Arkham Knight shipped.

Jesus Christ, that game is perfect and still looks great. If true, i can absolutely see a suit unable to control himself and blurt out gaas bollox in a design meeting. I mean, we wanted arkham but a new one for **** sake.

There's no reason they can't just scale back the Arkham series from needless open world nonsense to another metroidvania setting, but it makes sense they'd want to try stoke the embers of goodwill once agan with most fondly regarded entry given, well, everything they've been up to since.

If I was optimistic I'd be hoping for a Capcom resident evil style remake, one that manages to capture the magic of the original while being an experience new enough that it doesn't negate the original game.

On the other hand this is WB who seem to be in competition with 2K and vying for scummiest publisher in videogames.

Bah. Sounds like the next Respawn FPS has been cancelled. This follows the cancellation of their Star Wars shooter a year ago. But hey, at least we'll probably have another Respawn Jedi game to look forward to… 🙄

Dusk Golem (at one time reliable for Resident Evil news) says the next RE game should be revealed this year, and will be a big reinvention for the series. Capcom have been on such a good roll as of late that I'd be hopeful they can do something special, but rumours of an open world Resi won't go away. 😥
