Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ok ... trying to get back on track with POTW ... There are two weeks where the 'Thanks' system 'Tanked' on the site so I'm leaving those for the moment and starting where I still can see the number. This week's still had problems but I can see most of the numbers although for a couple of these it doesn't register my thanks where I have actually thanked so I have included those in the tally ... if you can follow all that. The system has changed how I can format too so bear with me on that.

    THIS WEEK'S POTW GOES TO:

    keps

    HONOURABLE MENTIONS

    bernard0368

    Adrian.Sadlier

    NEW WAVE

    Gregor Samsa

    CONGRATULATIONS keps

Any info on the winning shot would be welcome.

    WELL DONE HMs

Thanks indeed to Myksyk for the Trogan work he has done to bring the POTW up to date. Above and beyond the call of duty!

Just about ths pic.... taken on the Dodder

Thankfully the Grey Heron remains pretty still for long periods( so as not to disturb its prey).

Using a Nikon D800 with Tamron 150mm- 600mm lens(on a sturdy monopod)- I managed to use the following settings:

    Focal length 150mm

    ISO 320

    F- stop 22

    Shutter Speed 1/50sec

Was pleased with the result and thanks to all who voted for it!
