Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Can't get satellite in 1 room

Hi I've a rock solid Octo LNB

However, it feeds one room to a splitter coax / satellite socket

sw710us is the code of the socket

All of a sudden, the satellite stopped working but the coax saorvuew is fine

Satellite works fine in all the other rooms.

Could it be the splitter box, or could one port? Of the LNB stop working?

    Thanks

Could be the output on the LNB, they can fail individually,

Could be the cable, satellite feed frequency is higher than Saorview, damaged or water ingress could cause a fault.

Could be as simple as the connectors at the ends of the cable.

Is the satellite receiver working ok?

    Hi

    Yep, box OK

    Changed cable

    Saorview coming thru satellite connector.

It's either the individual LNB (didn't know they can fail individually) or the connector on the socket....

    Unfortunately think it's the former

    Thanks

Can you do a test on another output?

Have you any spare outputs if that one has failed?

    Must be the individual lnb

Have spare ports but it's on the chimney

Have you tried a different box /tv on the faulty outlet just to confirm it's not the box itself?

    Yep, did that Friday too

The previous decoder I had there stopped working just dead. Ariva 153

It could have been lightning or some power surge

O just thought such an event would.impact one of thr other 3 tvs

I had a similar issue with a diplexer - Saorview came through OK, but no sat - turned out it was bad connections on the diplexer. As I recall, the centre core was connected, but the braid was not.

Hi, what does that mean though, how would the braid be connected? By no means au fait with this stuff

    Watch this video -https://youtu.be/WwBVv27QInQ

I'm assuming it's not the wallplate as it was working previously and wasn't interfered with?
