Pretty sure you're posting Jones' total yards rather than his air yards (feel free to correct me). In college Jones' stat for total yards is made up of only 47% in air yards, 53% from yards the receiver made after the catch. An example of how he got to that number - 34% of his passes were to at or behind the line of scrimmage.

My point is that though he can make long passes that isn't his bread and butter game in college or as a rookie - hence his continuous low air yards numbers. This is why your idea that if the weather was dry he'd suddenly be able to handle a good weather shootout like Brady and Bucs is incredibly farfetched, especially when you add on top the schemes and weapons on both teams.

Look, it is ok to let others make a passing comment that the weather helped your team - it is part of football.

Right so Jones had 311 completions for 4500 yards. So the 'air yards' per attempt was 6.8.

That'd leave him similar to what Dak Prescott, Ben Roethlisberger and Justin Herbert have done so far this season.

You're surely having a laugh at this stage, you can't be taken seriously trying to hold up college stats against stats from the NFL - by your logic Jets' Michael Carter was significantly better than Derick Henry, as Carter gained 8 yards per attempt in college while Henry 'only' has 4.5 yards per attempt this year.

Again, you don't have to defend to the death every aspect of your QB - saying something isn't their strength or that they can't yet go toe to toe in a shootout with the QB you believe is the GOAT isn't some form of slander. Each rookie QB has their own strengths and areas where they can develop or have opportunities to show more. I'll leave it here as this has once again clearly gone off the rails.

I'm just treating you with the contempt you deserve when it comes to anything Patriots. 😉

Rams get back to winning ways, really amped it up in the second half after looking poor in the first. Robert Woods superb. Strange thing happened during the game, it looked like Henderson was benched and Michel came in a looked really good. Then after he had about eight carries Henderson gets back in and looks great. Looks like it was the kick up the backside he needed.
