Land transfer costs solicitor/survey

    I am interested in buying 0.6 of an acre from a neighboring farmer to add to my property.

    I am looking for costs for both solicitors and the survey of the land. (the land is worth about 2500 euro)

    I have googled that the survey may cost 400-700 does this sound right?

    The farmer was saying his solicitors complete all in fees would be about 2000

    and mine would be about 1200

    So nearly 4000 euro in total to transfer a small piece of land, does this sound right?
