Replacing sensor activated external light with socket and switched light

Dear all, I have a sensor activated external light connected through the wall to an unknown source but probably a spur from a socket. I would like to replace the external light with one that is activated by a switch. I would also like to connect an external socket. Would the diagram attached work?

It’s unlikely that the light is wired in a cable that would safely power a socket.

You'd need to confirm what circuit is powering your light firstly. You may find that that the spur for the light is taking from the lighting circuit and its wiring (usually 1.5mm) and fuse (~10amps) would not be sufficient for sockets (usually 2.5mm and 32Amps).
