    Thanks for reaching out to us here on Boards.ie.

    I can confirm that this is a fraudulent message. Bank of Ireland will never contact you by phone/text/email asking you to follow a link to disclose any of your log in or account information. The message appears on the BOI thread on your phone because if they fraudsters use the sender ID of 'BOI' your phone will presume it is coming from the same source as before. They do this to make their texts appear more genuine.
