Wedding shoe advice.

Hey guys,

Have a friend's wedding in London in two weeks and I'm not sure what shoes to wear with my suit. The suit itself is dark green slim fit. Now, I have black brogues and brown monk straps, but I recently got a great deal on a pair of YSL suede loafers in a grey in TK Maxx that I'm half thinking of wearing. Do you reckon it would be a bit too left field to wear grey loafers with a suit? ( what colour tie?) I'm not even sure if it's really acceptable to wear loafers with a suit as I believe they're traditionally worn more casual? What do you think? Should I just play it safe with the brogues or monk straps?

I think if you're going with a tie, shirt buttoned up all the way, I'd be leaning towards the monk strap or brogues. If it was a more casual look with no tie, top of shirt open, or even trousers with a blazer, the loafers would look great. I'd maybe see the loafers as a bit more of a spring summer thing?

Yeah, it'll be a tie and three piece suit job alright. You're probably right, I'll play it safe with the monk straps I think! Thank you.
