Does sending a message still send an email alert?

I need to get in touch with a boardie but am not sure if sending a private message like in the old version would trigger an email alert to the user, does it?

Depends on their notification settings (which was also true on the old version). I believe the default is that an email is sent, so if they haven't changed it, they should get the alert

As above, it depends on the user's settings but for most people it will be set to receive an email.
