Sonance and Sonos Amp

Hi guys,

Am just wondering if the Sonance by Sonos in wall speakers are worth the money for use with a Sonos Amp or if you'd recommend any other in-wall speakers for Amp. I understand they are tuned for TruePlay, is this feature going to make a big difference?

They will be going in on the end wall of an extension roughly 8m x 4m long.

The Sonos In Walls do sound great but the main difference between these and other in wall speakers is the True Play feature as you say. This basically compensates for your room size and layout and tried to optimise the sound for every point in the room. The other benefit of the Sonance is that the resistance is designed to allow you to run up to three pairs off a single amp.

If it's only the one pair you're looking for you could go for two of the Monitor Audio WT180 at £129.95 each but these would not integrate as well with the True Play tuning:

Hi guys,

Sorry for the delayed response. After much thought and consultation, I have had a re-think, and I'm going to use my Yamaha AS301, so I won't be needing the amp.

What this means is that I have more to spend on speakers.

Was thinking the Dali H60. A decent speaker? What would be your best price and how soon could you get them?

The Phantom H60 would be fantastic in-wall speakers and would sound excellent.

They are a Special Order line so would take 10-14 days to arrive - Stock depending.

You could also check out the Monitor Audio W380 IDC which retail at £399 Per speaker. I could work a deal on these for you at £600 for the pair.

Thanks for that Kenny. I think either of those MA speakers might be too big.The square form of the Dali might be more suitable.
