    Previously when there was section or area's either totally ruled ineligible, it might be an area in a field of scrub that was taking over a corner or was on a craggy piece if it became overgrown.

    On my case this was the issue it was all small pieces ruled ineligible.

    Problem is any thing that is used for eco cannot be used in discussing groups or TAMS. For instance if they decided that using LESS for eco, then it cod not be a GLAS option or a you could have no TAMs for LESS equipment AFAIK.

    Bigges problem is the Department never taught through there options. They lumped hedges and set aside as well as environmental features all into one option instead of splitting. They could have opted for a points system rather than two actions. For instance fertlizer usage at 80 kg/ HA is Very low for even a lot of non intensive farms. If they had decided you needed 50 points then give 25 points for 80 kg/ HA and and give 15 if you kept below 120 kgs/ HA( still low usage) it would be more beneficial.

    Stocking rate at 1.4 LU is only 100 kg organic/ HA again only applicable to went of Ireland. Buying a Fertlizer spreader with GPS is not an option for most beef units.

    If a dairy farm or tillage buy one of them and have a 4% of there land in setaside it pass go and collect 200 euro. It would probable pay them to lease a bit of mountain somewhere and use it as setaside.

    A small beef farmer with 7-8% overground unless he buys the spreader could be excluded

    Depends on the problems and your ability to stomach them. Farming shared land is a whole other level of ballache.

    It makes perfect sense if you think you can buy out remaining shareholders in the future. It will be cheap land

    It all depends on how much other land you have, if you are fairly near it to qualify for ANC if you already are not claiming it.

    The other factor is how many other have shares in it, if they ate active farmers or not. What quality commonage it is. Is there BPS with it.

    From 2023if you have no ANC you can claim that and eco, automatically. You could draw the bones of 20k/year in payments and that is before GLAS/REAP
