HKC inertia & contact wiring

How are these supposed to be wired ?

There is nothing about them in the manual .

Its the 2 in one sensor I'm talking about here.

Should they take up 2 zones ? I'm not shy on zones so thats the way I have them working now but I dont think its right.

As asked is it just one device back to the control panel or is there a number of devices looped?

Also are you using EOL configuration or non EOL?

You can find this in the zone hardware setting in the engineer menu.

No EOL (i can if needed). Just one device on this wire (6 core).

Take the terminals as numbers 1-6 top to bottom.

Then it's just a pair into tamper 3 and 4

Pair for zone 1 and 2

And loop out 5 and 6

I've a feeling I'm missing something obvious here.

So you are saying that each unit takes up two zones at the panel ? (one for the inertia & one for the contact).

forgetting about the tamper for the moment,

No one zone.

One pair for the zone and one pair for the tamper. By looping 5 and 6 you are seriesing the sensor and contact into the one zone.

To make it simple.

1 Red

2 Black

3 Blue

4 Yellow

At the panel.

Zone : Red and Black

Tamper: Blue and Yellow
