    So what?

    There's McDonald's cycles, McDonald's clothing, McDonald's bar, McDonald's pharmacy etc etc etc

Facebook Meta don't make computers, so no issues whatsoever.

But some eejits will put stuff up thinking that it is an issue.

In the future, shopping will be delivered by drone and your family will be too busy immersed in their own metaverses to notice. Or you could just lock the door. That works too.

meta is short for metaverse, the idea is we,ll work and socialise in a virtual 3d word, we,ll have avatars ,like fortnite characters .imagine doing team zoom meetings for hours but you have to wear a vr headsets .

maybe vr headsets will be good in 10 years, right now they are sweaty ,hot, and heavy to wear .why do you need to use a 3d vr headset to talk about customer sales figures with your staff . i can see 1 advantage in say a zoom meeting you could replace your face with a avatar instead of being on camera .

i think fortnite and minecraft is already a metaverse , in fortnite there are concerts you can watch without playing a game.

i think the vr headsets we have now are like the nokia 310, versus the iphone 12 ,

vr headsets may become as light as glass,s are now and easy to use and cheap .every year phones and chips are becoming faster and more powerful .i could see people buying a 3 d avatar that they can use in zoom and facebook video chats .

i think facebook is thinking 10 years ahead when vr,ar augmented reality will be more popular and they want to be ready for new apps and they also need to get more young people to use their apps in the future

Good synopsis. Facebook in it's current form is nothing more than a post-it sticker wall for anonymous abuse, think of it as your local supermarket notices board, but without limits, one where you can not only advertise your bike for sale, or a room to rent, but you can also post abuse about your local population, or the girl who snubbed you etc. A Cesspool in other words. His Metaverse version of Facebook will be V.1 with 3D cartoons, and just as toxic.

Of course. Google is still Google isn't it? It's parent company changed its name to Alphabet a few years ago, similar is all that's happened here.

Facebook is used by at least a billion people , every company,or non profit is on Facebook, its used by many small business, s to sell goods and advertise many people especially in 3rd world country's use it to keep in touch with family and friends

I never used it , fb can't aquire other social media company's its under intense scrutiny by regulators

It's oculus Vr headset is the cheapest and simplest to set up you no longer need a fb account to use it

Zuck thinks the next big thing is Vr ar and gaming They will spend billions on making Vr games and apps its buying up small Vr company's that make Vr games and Vr fitness apps and it has billions to spend so it seems to have a plan

Whether the public will be interested in Vr ar is doubtful

No one knows what the next big thing is no one predicted 3 years ago tik Tok would be more popular than YouTube at least among young people in hours viewed per month

Amazon has twitch is the no1 video streaming website

Vr ar gaming is maybe the next market in that no big company is controlling that space right now

My prediction is the next big app will be maybe something like fortnite Minecraft where maybe users can also make their own games or characters avatars free to play and you can play the game or watch other people play I don't use Facebook I think it's probably like twitter who is is in feed is who you pick out as friends or follow

If you follow weirdo neo racists your feed will be awful

That's how apple is one of the biggest tech companys it bought up alot of small company's in the field of tech chipset fabrication design and music apps
