International money transfer to Japan banks

I've tried bank of ireland in the past but there app doesn't list Japan in the list of countries.
I had issues with the credit union not being able to transfer money to Japan either.

Does anyone know if aib,ptsb etc have the option to wire money to Japan?

Would any old bank account + Wise (wise.com) not be an option?
I don't use the UB to transfer money money outside the Eurozone. Use Wise to send Sterling to UK bank(s). Works well enough.
