So hard to call who could win it this year

MVG could maybe hitting form at the right time but as we know the world's are a different kettle of fish

Draw for World Championship is on tonight at 1915 Sky Sports News.

Final PDPA qualifier is on today.

A few big name players need to win through the PDPA qualifiers today to have any chance of keeping their tour cards. Only 3 spots up for grabs.

Anyone got a list of names who are yet to qualify and need to win a place today.

Trying to work backwards from the 'qualified' list is tricky. But it seems players such as Big John, Max Hopp, de Zwann haven't got a place yet.

This is a list of players who haven't qualified. Although Baggish has confirmed he wont be entering, he mentioned he wants to spend time with his family

Draw is on this evening at about 7.15 i believe.

Krcmar after hitting a 121 average

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 12,269 Mod ✭✭✭✭Kingp35

Andy Hamilton, Max Hopp, Scott Waites and Jelle Klaasen all knocked out in R1.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,742 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

Steve West knocked out as well

  • Registered Users Posts: 348 ✭✭Timmy O Toole

Klassen lost his tour card now.

Some big names in that list

    John Henderson out.

Ciaran Teehan survived 2 match darts in his first game

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,742 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

Edgar knocked out and that's his tour card gone as well

Teehan through 6-5 against Darren Webster!

Edgar TV will be filmed from the Challenge Tour next year.

Boris Krcmar vs Peter Hudson/Ciaran Teehan

Mike De Decker vs Andy Boulton/James Wilson

    Nick Kenny vs Gordon Mathers

Winners of these qualify for worlds. Not sure what way the reserve list is working as the New Zealand and South African qualifiers may drop out

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 12,269 Mod ✭✭✭✭Kingp35

Teehan out. He has now lost his tour card.

  • Registered Users Posts: 38,321 ✭✭✭✭PTH2009

Justin Pipe not qualifying is a positive

Crazy how some players can fall out of form so easily. Lot of names in those games today who were once up there with the best

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,742 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

I'm really surprised at Max Hopp's fall. Still only 25 and his fellow German players Schindler and Hempel could overtake him in the rankings after the worlds

Ah lads come on now, having Sherrock do the draw is a bit OTT.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,972 ✭✭✭Degag

Colin Lloyd looking well in fairness to him.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,742 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

Keane Barry vs Royden Lam (Winner plays Clayton)

William O'Connor vs Danny Lauby ( Winner plays Durrant)

Steve Lennon vs Madars Razma (Winner plays Ratajski)

So Fallon and Gezzy will meet in Round 3 if they get that far.

    rip Fallon's Top 64 chances

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,458 ✭✭✭celt262

    Good draw for Willie.

Spreadsheet attached for anyone wanting to map out a route on your favourite player.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,742 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

Couple of potentially dodgy draws for the seeded players:

    Chisnall vs Labanauskas

    White vs Mitchell

    Suljovic vs Soutar

    King vs Joyce

Thinking of throwing a few quid on Cross

  • Registered Users Posts: 38,321 ✭✭✭✭PTH2009

Cross has struggled in the world's the last few years and has a tricky enough draw potentially RVB which some of the fans will be siding with

Roll on the championships, great time of year

I never could warm to him much in the early years.

More fool me though. Old Llloydy was a great character. 'You don't know what you got till it's gone'
