Wasn't expecting that early doors!!... The consistent scoring from Wade, and often as not giving himself a dart at a double from a 3 dart out, was exemplary.. way too good for Kleermaker.. was good value for that 4-0 win.. hope he bashes Mervyn. unlike Mardle, can't see King doing much against James...

Looks very open at this stage.. Think Price wins, but at 2/1, won't bother with him.

Have narrowed it down to three who won't win - Ando, Mervyn, and Heavy Metal Ryan Searle (sorry Ryan) 😋

    Mon Rob!

Think both of these will average 94 ish in a very tight nervy game.

    4-3 Ando.

James Wade has a lovely throwing motion.

I think Cross wins this handy enough, he won't give Anderson the lifelines White gave him.

Have they said that's the way it's calculated?

I'd have assumed that it's only big trebles that count, probably 17s up.

    Cross lucky there.

Anderson playing much better with these darts.

I though I heard 'big' referenced by Mardle, today I think (maybe yesterday) during the 'trebleless visit' stats, but I heard no mention of what constitutes a 'big' treble..... Also, when is a treble 'not' expected - if a player is down to a treble/single/double out; do those 'trebleless' visits figure on the stats.... ?

"purview" 😂 - pretty sure he meant "wheelhouse" 😂 1/7 'embroiled' gets a mention (John Part favourite to say it first)

    Anderson has turned up tonight

Cross has been terrible and is lucky not to be 3-0 down

What's it with the Scots and changing their darts huh? Gary looks a different player tonight.

Ando is a different animal with these darts.

He can win the whole thing with this kind of game.

    Cross has been atrocious.

Where's the Rob Cross that beat Gurney in a thriller? Was lucky to win that second last leg - he fluffed his lines on second dart (hits treble 9 instead of treble 12) , and leaves 35, and he only goes and flings it, and busts on d17 😏

    Gary can win this tournament

Terrible game management by cross there after getting himself back in the match.

    Not a bad prediction. 😁

Gary did well to pull himself back together for that last set.

Winner comes from the top half in my view, bullyboy, wade or price

really thought Cross was in with a big shout but he wasn't up to it tonight

I'll change my mind, cos I got the first two wrong --- 4-2 to Ryan Searle

Searle not at the races here

Ffs will someone tell him to clean up his appearance

Anderson at sixes is surely the bet, if you care to gamble.

In fairness it's nothing compared to the state of Wrights hair

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,280 ✭✭✭✭mdwexford

I’ve rarely seen Searle average over 92.

If a top player plays half decent they beat him.

Having him as short as 16s to be World Champion was mental.

    Well that was fairly disappointing

Must have been some snoozefest if the hair is the main topic of discussion 🤣

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,924 ✭✭✭Sultan of Bling

Easy win for snakebite but guess what, he had 3 more trebleless visits than Searle 😁

Wright's slow throwing and pondering which big single he'll go far, after he hits a treble, is just as much gamesmanship than any of Price's antics... just more subtle though... Really hope Rydz can beat him..
