I understand publishing hospitalisations and ICU admissions to safeguard our services but how does publishing positive cases benefit the public if 92% of Over 18s are vaccinated ?

Hiding data would be worse imo.

And I don't think we should do it just because in this instance it triggers some people.

Because trends in positive cases are still significant. It's not as though future changes to hospitalisation and ICU admission numbers are wholly unrelated to current changes in positive test numbers.

Plus, for a subset of the population - including those who can't be vaccinated and those who are in vulnerable categories and would be at above-average risk if they contract Covid even after being vaccinated - information on the general prevalence of the infection in the population is still signficant.
