Golden Eagle query.

Hi all, took a few pictures of this fella this morning in Sligo, it was a long way off so heavily cropped, there is a tag on both wings, one blue, one yellow, it's a huge bird, my guess is it's a Golden Eagle, should i report the sighting and location, and if yes to whom should i report?

Actually, the latest data on that seems to be from 2013, so maybe not.

But if the organisation still exists, they might point you in the right direction.

Lucky you, I keep my eyes peeled when I'm up in Donegal all the time, but I've never seen one yet.

Thanks Heidi, I reported the sighting and sent a couple of pictures to Birdingireland, I recieved a reply to say it's a White Tailed Eagle.

Yeah - a juvenile, they don't develop full adult plumage for nearly 5 years.
