EFT to closed current account

I've been told that money was EFTed to my current account which was closed about a year ago - is this going to bounce back to the sender or be EFTed to the account which was given as the new target account during the switch process?

If the account is closed, it is likely that the funds will be returned to sender. If the funds are not returned, please call into your local branch with valid photo ID and one of my colleagues can certainly check this out for you.
