Basically, van becoming unreliable to start.. Sometimes will start no problem, other times takes 5 or 6 attempts.

After ruling out fuel supply, glow plugs, basic fault codes, and battery & earth straps, I had an auto diagnostic specialist out to diagnose.

Codes Df039, Df055 and df067 found, all pointing to immobiliser system.

Could anyone recommend someone in cork who would be able to fix or disable the immobiliser system at reasonable cost? I rang a tuning & ECU remapping guy and he said he wouldn't get into deprogramming immobs.

I just want it to start, for cheap, don't care about immob or alarms...... ffs, no-one is gonna steal a mouldy old kangoo anyway.

Any idea what I should do to get fixed?

This is pretty f up situation. Internal error is not easy stuff. All kind of electronics errors start by low voltages/weak battery. Now days I seen over 90% cars/vans by low battery. It really mess up the electronics, corrupt the memory etc.

I have seen a youtube about the exact same issue with a Kangoo. After much fault finding and digging around trying this and that, they eventually traced it to corroded pins on the ECU. They just replaced the ECU, key and immobiliser box as a set from a donor. Didn't try cleaning the ECU as they said corrosion probably inside the unit already.

Also seen a Clio vid, with the same 1.5dci engine and same type Delphi ECU. They pryed open the ECU and found that some of the connector pin solders on the PCB had cracked, becoming dry joints. They painstakingly resoldered each pin and reassembled, resolving the issue.

This might be my last shot, so I will have to try it.

I do not know your vehicle ECU but reflow can not cause the harm if you know what to do. If there is push trough pin connectors between PCB and the main connector, just make a proper solder connection. Only remember to clean the PCB before and after by IPA. Before is necessary because oxide is not good.
