Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Bought these Joseph Joseph knives..

and they are marked as 'Not Dishwasher Safe' ...

    Care & use:

    • Not dishwasher safe
    • Hand wash only & dry immediately
    • BPA free

Would putting them in the dishwasher at 50 degrees damage them? Or is the manufacturer just playing it safe to protect the 2 year warranty on them?

Could be to do with the blade rusting or staining , from the salts and detergent , I've a couple of expensive knives that discolour in the dishwasher -

Or it could be the handle doesn't like the steam and temps-

If it says don't dishwash then don't if you want them to last ..

I would never put my sharp knives into the dishwasher. It seriously blunts them. Just wipe them clean and store on a magnet or divided drawer so that they don't touch, to maintain the blade.

I agree, I would never, ever put kitchen knives in the dishwasher, even if it said I could!

Never put anything with a sharp edge in the dishwasher- sharp knifes, potato peeler or similar. Just hand wash in hot soapy water- they will last longer!
