Home insurance after few years lapse

    Can anyone recommend an insurance company/broker who would insure a home after no insurance on property for a number of years.

    Quick explanation, house was insured, claimed on broken item ( child broke laptop ) maybe 12 years ago and premium went up. Was recession back then and insurance was one of the Bill's not renewed.

    I know alot of insurers dont cover in this situation I'm just wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction.
