BOI sending SMS

My elderly mother has received 2 SMS in recent days, from BOI, saying her account has been hacked. It sounds bogus to me, told her to delete. Shes a big worrier. Is there any point reporting this to the bank, or Gardai?

I got a couple last week about my account being limited, so there seems to be a resurgence of them.
There is an email you can report the fraud to, if she would feel better doing so.
Report a suspicious email or text
To report suspicious Bank of Ireland related emails or texts (both personal and business customers), send the suspicious email or text to 365security@boi.com
