Passive mode in the ME3000 is direct control via RS485 (of the inverter itself not seplos) I used a Sofar2MQTT. I was then controlling that via Node red.

Default mode is the me3000 battery setting.

    Hi Graememk,

    What Firmware Version?

I am just new to Sofar and this forum, so I dare ask you freely: I have bought a refurbished ME3000sp with FW 1.90, are there known problems while upgrading such old firmware versions? Because I am actually quite struggling with the CT handling (freeze/unfreeze) of the old FW, comparing it with documentations of the FW 2.40 and higher … and am I right: for FW 1.90 the CTpv Reading is mandatory, not optional as in FW 2.40+

    thanks for your feedback,

The first best firmware is v2.41, since it allows two TOU schedules to be active on the same day. So it allows max flexibility.

Apologies if this has been asked before but I'm looking via my phone and I can't find the answer.

I have a sofar HYD 3K~6K-ES Hybrid Inverter and I am looking to charge my dyness batteries off the cheaper night rate. Do I just need to navigate to Time-of-use Mode and set the parameters of 00:05 and 06:00 and the inverter will charge the battery during that time? If this is correct, can I also set the months where this will happen (Nov - Mar)? I have looked through the manual and it's quite sketchy as it says to do this, but then says this mode is used for testing purposes only.

Any help or links to videos to help me set this up would be most appreciated.

Id test it and see! if doesnt work you can always tweak it a bit, you cant do any harm with it!

    Hi all,

I just received my Sofar Me3000sp from ebay, looks good but I am missing the Wifi Dongle and the battery to invertor cables.

Does anyone know where I could buy the Sofar Wifi dongle ?

Would anyone have recommendations for battery invertor power cables ?

    Thanks

    Cormac

The battery power cables don't come with the inverter. You can make your own with 16mm2 cable and some cable lugs.

There is 2 versions of the WiFi, one inbuilt with just the antenna sticking out and the other on a DB9 plug, which one do you have?

    Possibly you'll need a communication cable too, a ,RJ 45 to rj10

Ok, I should be able to sort out the power cables myself.

I didn't know about the 2 different versions of Wifi , I will take a look tonight .

From what I remember there is no RS232 port just a space for an antenna .

I have 2X CT clamps and the 2 other communication cables.

Any other recommendation before I start install ?

    Thanks

the wifi antenna could just be pushed way up inside it. (on a compression gland)

from memory its a 6mm cable lug for the me3000.

    DC Fuse/mcb? AC isolator

Check lug sizes of cable ends before you terminate, not all are size 10
