Errr... Pretty much any decent sized office, will use ethernet to backhaul Wifi AP's !!

We are increasingly seeing the same in home setups. The future of wifi is to use increasingly high radio frequencies (e.g. 6GHz for Wifi 6E) which will offer more data throughput, but the downside is the signal doesn't travel as far and doesn't penetrate walls as well.

Eventually we will likely get to the point, where we almost need a wifi AP per room. Sure, you can backhaul that with lower frequencies, but you won't get as good performance as you would get using ethernet.

What I'm getting at, even if you only ever use wifi, having an ethernet port in every room is very useful to get the most out of that and I'd highly recommend it to anyone building a new home or renovating.
