Metallic taste on tip of front tooth

I get this sensation periodically on one of my front canines. It seems to come and go but has been fairly consistent over the past few months. Any time I've brought it up with my dentist he kinda shrugged and said he could see any problems. The tooth is also slightly tender but the main problem I suffer with is the taste…

The tooth is also slightly tender but the main problem I suffer with is the taste and how i aggravates my tongue.
Drives me crazy when its bad!
Has any dentist ever come across this symptom?
I think the tooth is filled but with white composite.

I had a metallic taste in my mouth after receiving first 2 Covid vaccines, which lingered on and off for about a month. Strangely it didn’t happen with booster vaccine (all 3 were Pfizer).
