Han Moldova! That's wacky and catchy.

Moldova will never, EVER let you down in the ‘WTF’ stakes!

    Beastie Boys meet folk.

I expected a bit more staging but good performance and the Moldovans should do the job.

Moldova will do a Norway if they qualify - huge votes from public, very little from juries

The issue is never the issue; the issue is always the revolution.

The Entryism process: 1) Demand access; 2) Demand accommodation; 3) Demand a seat at the table; 4) Demand to run the table; 5) Demand to run the institution; 6) Run the institution to produce more activists and policy until they run it into the ground.

Portugal are let down by coming off such a lively song, which had one wanting to dance.

    Portugal is actually good.

The issue is never the issue; the issue is always the revolution.

    YOLA vibes from Portugal.

I think that’s her name anyway.

You'd never see Portugal submit a song about a train journey from Lisbon to Madrid, dry shites

Portugal quite good too, despite the tempo slow down.

Are they trying to resurrect a body or something

  • Moderators, Entertainment Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 11,837 Mod ✭✭✭✭Say Your Number

It's not bad, but it's jarring to hear it after Moldova.

    Benny Benassi!

Do that song with the power tools video!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,248 ✭✭✭✭Hurrache

Portugal wouldn't be out of place on BBC Radio 6 or any of the indie shows on other stations. Very good song actually.

    Portugal was boring

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 73,516 ✭✭✭✭Welsh Megaman

    Uh-oh…interpretive ‘darnce’.

  • Registered Users Posts: 102 ✭✭_gir

For a song called guilty pleasure, this is pretty boring and unsexy

Croatia going down the Taylor Swift route here

Oh, bit of expressive modern dance with this wan from Croatia.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,554 ✭✭✭jaffa20

Croatia are the same odds as us and sounds about right. This is about the level of what Ireland would send.

  • Registered Users Posts: 33,756 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

    Croatia should qualify., nice song.

Italy looks so fcking tempting (the country)

I like the Netherlands had a flutter on top 10 for them ages back...and top 10 for Norway (the audience will love it)

    Looks like the singer Duffy.

Has she been hiding in Denmark since 2009.

Didn't expect it to go pop-punk.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,283 ✭✭✭CruelSummer

I agree; but I’ll get behind the Irish act as it’s not easy to go over and perform to millions of people. For the record I think Virgin media should be given a chance to come up with an entry next year, the Eurovision full stop should be banned from the Late Late Show 65 year old plus audience, and there should be serious questions asked as to were those really the best 6 songs chosen for the Late Late finals this year or is it a case of who knows who in RTÉ.

I also disagree with Linda Martin in an interview she gave in a paper recently saying Ireland should keep sending ballads. All we’ve done for many of the last entries over the years are send poor to mediocre ballads.

Dave Hill from Slade wondering who stole his outfit.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,029 ✭✭✭PsychoPete

Denmark doesn't look very believable as a band

  • Registered Users Posts: 33,756 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

I like the music but maybe she needed to rock it a bit more.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,969 ✭✭✭✭alchemist33

I can't help thinking of the word "lame" for Denmark

  • Registered Users Posts: 102 ✭✭_gir

    Denmark going the maneskin route

Surprised moldova getting away with the hey ho let's go....

Thought that was class but a bit of pop punk will always win me over.

    It’s no Moldova mind you.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 73,516 ✭✭✭✭Welsh Megaman

Haven’t heard the Norway song, only been judging them by the outfits.
