    Not in defence of Johnson here but I don't see anything dumb in that article.

    "The obesity crisis in this country is appalling: more than three-quarters of older people are overweight or obese — and the numbers are terrible among the kids.in that that."

    More politicians should be raising this issue. I recall after Johnson recovered from Covid he said '..he was too fat'. How refreshing. In the piece he alludes to gluttony, eating to much, when you have other types saying e.g. Irish university academics that the size you are is down to your genes and you can be fat and healthy at the same time. This coming just after Covid like. Boggles.

    There's a lot of hype around these appetite suppressant drugs at the moment and Johnson is merely saying yeah but don't assume they are a miracle cure.

    Having said that he could at the same time be opportunistically raising the issue to have a dig at Sunak over this:
