F*ck, Sky have taken over the C4 feed. At least Nico's there.

Really hoping that we get a race to the end today. Best championship in ages this one.

Who wins if both drivers don't score points?

  • Registered Users Posts: 39,899 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

Max will win if neither score points due to max having one more race win.

Haven’t been this nervy since 2012.

the opposing strategies make it very interesting, but as pointed out the difference in the tires isn’t that much. The track will evolve a lot over the course of the race too.

    ME NERVES!

That’s a good point that the lad changing the tyres on the pit stops have a huge job today.

I haven’t been glued to F1 like this for years, and I gotta say, it was the Netflix show which drew me back in after growing bored with it in the Schuey domination era.

I really don’t have a preference as to who wins it, just hope it’s a great race. It really could come down to the pit crews!!

My gut tells me that Hamilton will win, as I think the pressure may get to Max, though if Lewis is still behind with 5 or 6 laps to go, then who knows what will happen!

    Enjoy the race folks!! 👍

Not a bad anthem in fairness. There’s a bit of life to it.

Tension is unbearable waiting for the start, I swear that countdown to race start timer went up instead of down. Time for a stiff drink

Good to hear that Lando is going to stay out of trouble and let the top two fight it out.

Reckon today will be decided by Tyres and Tactics.

Come on Max - drive on kid !!

With all the excitement, we will probably end up with a boring procession.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,561 ✭✭✭JeffKenna

    I feel nervous.

    Come on Max!

Perez has a big role to play at the start, needs to get at Norris & Hamilton if possible. If he can't get himself in around Hamilton I don't see Max being able to get away and get the win

Jesus last week was tense but this week is another level up.

Gobshite Ted making a big deal of how Verstappen was 33 points up after the Silverstone sprint race but not mention of what happened in the next two races.

Think Lewis will have it today, as much as it will be better for F1 that Max does it.

On another topic, Jolyon Palmer has just gone on a rant about how Red Bull are the bad guys, don't race fair and are the team nobody likes. That might be the case amongst biased British fans, but for the F1 fanbase as a whole, Mercedes are very much the bad boys.

    Team Hamilton, me

Most seem to be rooting for Max!

Hope to god we don’t seem them take each other out.

what is the rule of one takes other out due to dangerous driving? Max gets the title?

  • Registered Users Posts: 39,899 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

How anyone still listen to jolyon palmer I’ve no idea. He’s as biased as biased comes and makes sky look fair and balanced.

Sky are milking this and they’re dead right too!

The nerves waiting for lights out, is it too early to hit the drinks on the top shelf yet?
