Christmas Music - Renaissance?

Maybe it’s just me but are we currently experiencing a bit of a Christmas music renaissance?

The 80s seems to have been the last big decade for Christmas music but lately some big selling artists are now getting on board the Christmas train. Michael bible, Robbie Williams, Gary Barlow, Kelly Clarkson, Elton John and Ed sheeran.

So with that said what are your favourite Christmas tracks from 2000-2021.

We had such a dry spell in the 90s and 00s with The Spice Girls and X Factor taking the no. 1 spot for what seemed like every year that it is great to see this revival. Plus the previously coveted Christmas number one single doesn't really mean as much any more so perhaps that is making more artists throw their hat in the ring. Or maybe that's got nothing to do with it. 😂

You are right though, definitely a revival in the 2010s- I remember hearing Leona Lewis's song 'one more sleep' back in 2013 and being so pleasantly surprised to hear a decent, and new, festive tune.
