Gift Card options for Employee

    Hi folks,

I want to give an employee based in Ireland a gift voucher for Christmas. My first thought would have been Amazon.co.uk but since Brexit and all the customs shenannigans, it feels like this isn't as attractive as it once was for someone living in Ireland - would this be fair to say?

One4All looks good - but you need an Irish mobile number to register on the site - and I don't have one.

    What other options are there?

I've done Just Eat vouchers for employees before. If they live in the middle of nowhere it might not be suitable but most decent sized towns will have various options. Probably not a good idea if you're giving €100+ but a €20-50 voucher would work.

Thanks - that's a good idea - but I was thinking of a little more alright.

I've received A Perx card in the past and it was great, accepted everywhere like a debit card.

One 4 All are not great imo, limited places to use them and online limited to €50 per transaction.

Amazon.co.uk is working pretty well post Brexit, they add Irish VAT (after first deducting UK VAT) & Duty (if applicable, for most items its not) at checkout at remit directly to Revenue so items are delivered straight to the customer without their needing to do anything. There may be the odd hiccup with third party Marketplace sellers but direct from Amazon themselves and most Marketplace sellers is seamless.

You can buy a Dunnes Stores voucher online (supermarket) or the other option is One for All, we always ask the employee as sometimes they prefer a supermarket voucher or even a toy store voucher depending on there situation
