Any idea what these little guys are? they appear in our house from time to time. Seem to be kitchen or toilet so I’m guessing they either like tiles or are linked to water. Probably an inch long

Yeah that’s the one. Thanks. Anything to worry about? Other than being ugly?

Common & relatively harmless - they like moist, humid conditions and can damage books, etc. A quick Google, if you can stand looking at pictures of the gits, will tell you all you want to know.

Best burn the house down just to be on the safe side 😃

I thought Silverfish were tiny , like fruit flies.

I was going to start a thread asking about why and how there are centipedes in my bedroom but I think these might be the bugs in question.

I squash them so quick that I’m not sure now what they look like exactly.

They are only appearing (as best I can tell) in one area of the room which is by the radiator.

I only have the window open when I’m having a shower and have been assuming that since the area is opposite to the window that there is a hole someplace in the floor but there is none I can see anywhere.

I just killed one on the wall above the radiator.

The bedroom is warm and there is wet sponges in the bathroom. And the towels can be damp but there is never bugs in there.

They are not an everyday occurrence - this is fifth one since maybe the start of October. Killed the previous one last Thursday.

if it is silverfish would I be seeing a lot more?
