He's said it will continue, so I reckon it's being sold. He took 1 million in salary last year, so reckon it will continue as a going concern, as they've cracked America. Also he will be bought out at current rate, reckon they have a lot of reserves as there is nit much outlay in putting on programm.

I did it, lost a stone, but agree it's very repetitive.

Ger is a gifted talker, but he can speak for ages and say nothing. Before the program opens, he does a "live" where the first section is taken up by "oh am I live, don't understand this technlogy" and then onto "where is everyone around the world".

The diet is very basic, nothing you would not know yourself really, but some people enjoy the group aspect and the talks and if that works for them, so be it.

It's definitely playing on the "fat is miserable" mantra, but if people were not miserable, guess they would not be there.

It'll be an odd one for the company as it goes on. Ger is nothing if not a good business man. I think he sees the increasing popularity of obesity medication and realises that he'll get the best price for the company now.

Despite being on obesity medication now myself, I'm still quite favourably disposed towards Bodyslims, on balance. The hour's walk every day does do wonders for your mental health, and the episodes on what hormones effect obesity and on what illnesses can be favourably effected by a 10% weight loss are very educational, even for someone who thought they were an expert on everything regarding obesity.

The glaring problem with Bodyslims is the problem will all weight loss programs. For most people, going into a calorie deficit (especially one that can be quite low like Bodyslims) will result in an increase in appetite. Even the hours walk and permanently changing your diet to include more protein and good carbs will not offset the inevitable weight gain after the "diet" portion ends. Now, if you stuck religiously to your diet changes and the walks, you might find that you only put back on 30-50% of the weight lost, but for most people that is so unexpected and disappointing that they fall off the wagon altogether. It's not something that's adequately addressed in the Bodyslims program, and the cynical part of me would say that that puts in the same category as the other popular diet programs, whose profits are based on the very premise that you will put weight on and come back for repeat programs.
