The preliminary figure could have been easily missed, it was just visible on screen at some stage but it wasn't issued to me or anything. Once I submitted the review the prelimary figure was no longer visible. The confirmation email is a good sign.

How long is it taking for the money to reach the bank after receiving the SOL?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 61 ✭✭Desertmoon1

Me too. Tried calling them and phone lines busy so can't take my call. What luxury! I took 90 calls yesterday at work, my company doesn't close the lines when we are busy....

Anybody know what's going on here?

A friend of mine was temporarily laid off last year and was on PUP for 15 weeks and got €4500 in total (300 x15).

However, when they go to submit their 2021 tax return online, the figure for PUP shows as €4200 (300 less), when trying to call the PAYE helpline they can't het through due to "a high volume off calls", and when they contact the DEASP they advise them to download a statement off MyWelfare and submit that to Revenue.

The statement from MyWelfare states that the total received was €4500 (correct figure), so why was there an inaccuracy with the figure they reported to Revenue? And how can we get this resolved?

А friend of mine got SOL Tue, money in the account on Thur.

I'd say Monday but I'd check on Sat as well - depends on the bank and when they run their payment run. I saw a few times money issued on Fri hitting my PTSB account on Sat.

Completed our return on Wednesday night, Maternity Benefit and a few other things to take into consideration and was able to view the SOL this morning. Very impressed with the quick turnaround as I used to work in Revenue PAYE so I know there is huge pressure on staff at the moment.

As you would know how they work would u know why it takes 3 weeks when all that's on form is medical expenses and 2 weeks sick leave? Not pup. If there was an issue surely they would contact me? I'm waiting since 2 Jan. Do they not process in order of when received?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 358 ✭✭carleigh

No, there is no order to it unfortunately (unless things have changed in the last couple of years since I left). And most SOL’s are done automatically and a random amount set aside for manual verification. As was stated previous in the thread, DEASP figures had to be verified so there could be a hold up there. My own Maternity pay figure was incorrect by a huge amount so I had to get that fixed. It might be worth contacting them via MyEnquiries.

My SOL became available Thursday night (11pm having previously checked at 8pm),

Money just hit my KBC account here at 4am Saturday

Hang in there anyone still waiting!

I've called them over the past week I've been told because we have an overpayment it needs to be approved by management. Its like that the past 10 days or more.

    It's an absolute joke.

Anyone get news today? I'm still waiting

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 99 ✭✭cnbyz

i think they simply turned off their phone line . It keeps saying they are too busy to take the call. that means there are people on the line and the queue. I have been trying their phone # since last Thursday and never even put on hold. unbelievable

I eventually got through at the 3rd time of asking last Thursday. Was told much the same with regards any social welfare payments. (I had paternity benefit). Was told it should be completed early this week.

Could do with it the last week or so. 5 weeks since last payday and a week to go. Due a bit back due to being emergency on my last payday in old job as my tax credits were swapped over earlier than required.

Checked this morning, still no sign.

Its getting ridiculous at this stage - Similar I have some welfare payements but they were correct on the prelim so unsure why it is taking so long.

I have opened a case via my enquiries to see if this shifts it.

Opened a case via my enquiries 10 days ago. Heard nothing. Hopefully you have better luck.

Ye I opened a case on my enquiries too but imagine money will be in my account before they process that. Interestingly I saw on another forum everyone who underpaid tax due to pup has received their SOLS, I'm due about 2500 back. Funny how it wasn't processed as quick....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23 PukkaPad

I actually had an underpayment last year (it was the fault of the company trying to be chancers!) and they paid it off so this could also be holding it up.

If its all so automated I can't understand how we can't at least track the process - if its gone for manual review so be it. Would just be nice to know its not lost in the system somehwere!

Just off the phone from them there.

They said they're still processing them. Unfortunately due to the high volume they're taking longer than expected (some being put aside for manual checks etc) but they're releasing thousands every day so hopefully some good news this week. Wasn't able to give an estimation.

Just to update, funds were in my account this morning...

So 13 days until the SOL came out and appeared in My Documents. email to notify of new document came out a day later and it took 2 business days for refund to reach my account.

2 business days for mine... SOL on Thursday and received the payment this morning.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 65 ✭✭almae

I called today and I was told its awaiting approval for the overpayment. It could be a few more days.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 213 ✭✭Prospector1989

I keep getting kicked out when I try to get into the Review Your Tax 2018-2021 section.

I'll survive till payday at the end of the week at this rate at least.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 61 ✭✭Desertmoon1

Anyone get any news today? I tried calling but the phone lines close at 1.30. Unbelievable.... 3 and a half weeks is ridiculous. No answer to my query in My enquiries either....
