First wager on Friday, I said – just as well I didn’t say which Friday.

Well, its been mad money time on all lottery fronts, and that continues tonight.

The last three Euromillions jackpots have all been won in France, and then we had the Lotto heading to Mayo.

That draw was the biggest played draw ever in Irish history.

This was evidenced by the number of raffle winners.

The previous 5 draws saw this number of winners 121, 137, 116, 141, 115 before 692 people won on Saturday.

That means that more people played the draw for Saturday, than the previous 5 combined, even though the jackpot was the same.

I know that it was guaranteed this time round, so more value for money.

149 runners up got 36,000 each, but if Mr. Mayo hadn’t won, then their share would have been increased by 126,000 each.

Nobody would have been retiring on 150k.!

 

So tonight, we switch back to the Euromillions, and there will be 100 more millionaires made tonight, as all raffle numbers get put into a very big hat after the main draw. Twice before, in 2016 and 2018, we had draws like this, but in both cases only 25 millionaires were created. Sadly, none were Irish.

 I have also done my first set of homework for 2022, and have a nice wager for tonight.

I’m being influenced tonight by the returns of #03 after a 22 draw absence and #24, who went on holidays for over 50 draws

As my optimism hasn’t been hit yet, it’s a 50 point bonanza to start the year (albeit 21 days in!)

Two draws after #24 ends a 51 draw drought, we see #18 end a 55 draw drought. That leaves #08 as the longest not drawn, a mere 37 draw gap for that one.
