The reasons for early Irish aggression more clear now..

Playing and Ireland win by 5 wickets…I was watching the snooker so took my eye off it….winning with 3.2 overs to spare after DL set them 168 as the target…the google feed didn’t refresh when I refreshed the page grrr but saw the last over… a reasonably comprehensive win…great we can go away to the West Indies and go toe to toe with them, being more then just competitive…

the Stirling catch off McBrine was class…pure athleticism…

Great win to beat WI in their own back yard is huge.

Great win. Should really be looking at a series win already in fairness.

In fact given some of the throw aways we should actually be in a decent spot for WC qualification at this stage.

Still, credit to them, with all the covid stuff that is a fantastic win

Century for Joshua Cox for u19s in world Cup opener against Uganda. Ireland posted 236/9.

40/3 after 15 is the reply so far.

Solid first win for the under 19s. Think the next two games are live on sky sports

Windies got off to a flier but Ireland have hit back with 3 wickets. 85/3 after 15 overs

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,128 ✭✭✭Fattybojangles

    Chasing 213 to win it

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,128 ✭✭✭Fattybojangles

A very reachable total for a historic series win. Come on lads.

That's a very gettable target, but again for the 1000th time, they've let the opposition off the hook.

At 116/7 to let the last 3 wickets add 100 is very very poor to put it mildly. They haven't a clue how to bowl to a number 10. WI should've had Smith open, he'd have hit a double ton.

Stirling needs to get a score today

    Porterfield out first ball

  • Registered Users Posts: 144 ✭✭fergiesfav

Great a servant as he's been but that absolutely needs to be the last we see of Porterfield. Get Murray Commins in ASAP

McBrine looks pretty uncomfortable out there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,574 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

    51/1 after 10

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,234 ✭✭✭VillaMad

Solid start to the chase. McBrine struggled but starting to score a little more freely.

Stirling goes on review for 44. 73/2.

Bad time to go as Ireland were well on top.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,574 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

Stirling out 44 after a review

Need another decent knock by Tector now

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,574 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

Desperate fielding and a collision saves mcBrine

Irish batters have been critisised recently for poor rotating of strike, but it's been excellent today
