Can I identify as a different race?

People who are biologically male or female are openly allowed to identify as another gender and in some cases they can identify as both …. Or even neither.

If, for example, a biological woman can identify as a man and be accepted as such, then why can’t a white person identify as a black person and be accepted as such?

i have to say for someone with a terrible penchant for insulting others intelligence you had to construct what must be THE pinnacle of stupidity I’ve seen in After Hours with this post.

You can identify as anything you like in the Census. Other than that, you would need to explain who you want to accept your choice.

Can I join the traveling community? If I buy a caravan from DoneDeal, park up in a layby and plonk a yellow drum of gas outside it am I part of the community? I don't think they DNA test people to see if they have legitimate traveller ancestry. Maybe I'll buy a piebald horse and do a bit of sulky racing in my spare time

I think so... My understanding of it all is that if someone wants to identify in a particular way, we're better off (net net) to just accept it than to challenge it with any scientific stuff which might upset the person. As in, on the whole, less people are upset if you let people do what they want even if it's not scientifically accurate.

So if you really don't like the race you're born with and it upsets you, you can just be something else and be happy and since it's no skin off our nose we can be happy too. Whereas if we challenge all that, we're not happy and you're not happy and overall net happiness decreases.

That's literally the only way I can come close to understanding it all, but it's close enough for me.
