A huge thanks to @wench who hosted the game last week (week 1) and this week (week 2) I’ll be taking over again as from Friday (week 3)

For those new to this thread and wondering what the league table is all about……

We run weekly leagues on Weeks 1,2&3. Starting on a Friday and ending on a Thursday. To be included in a weekly league YOU MUST post up a score on a Friday. That way we know you want to play. If you miss the Friday, don’t worry as there’s a new league the following week. But post your scores up for the days you are around as it will probably help you get a feel for how the game is scored. When it comes to scoring, think POINTLESS. If you’re lucky enough to answer correctly with your starter word you score zero points. Then it’s whatever amount of guesses you took. Failing the wordle or missing a game is eight points.

The finals league starts on Week 4. To qualify for the final you will need to have a top 3 score in one of the preceding weekly leagues. If you get a top score in Week 1, you won’t be included in the week 2 or 3 league tables but feel free to post your scores on the thread as normal as I’ll just filter through. This gives more players a chance to get into the final. The same principle applies if you get though in week 2. Only the finalist will be included in the week 4 table. I’ll post up the rules regarding tie breakers nearer that date. Once the final is over, we reset to week 1 and do it all again.

PLEASE DO NOT CHEAT. We rely on each other playing in good faith. Tbh, I find it more fun to be near the top at the start of the week and then watch all my hopes and dreams fall down the league ladder as the week progresses. 😂

Prophetic. After a good first 2 days it ha started to fall apart for me. Repeated vowels do make it slightly harder
