    Very tricky one I thought! After 3 guesses with no letter repeated in any of the 3 I’d only 3 letters. I had to write the remaining 14 letters on a sheet and it took me 40 mins to find any word from them!

    It does if you think of it in terms of how much information each guess gets you. Two well chosen starter words, with no overlaps gets you 10 letters checked, setting you up with a good shot at getting it on the third go.

    We've seen days where people have had 4/5 by turn 3 and still not gotten it because they had too many possible letters and just going through them one at a time, ran out of guesses. Sacrificing one guess with a word containing 3 or 4 candidate letters can be a better plan.
