    Well, what about yesterday's word? Locus. An obscure word, never heard of it. Was nasty if you hadn't guessed a word with an L in it. It accepted hocus but not pocus.

    It was the spin off games gave that away for me.. Appears fairly regularly in the likes of sexaginta-quattordle. Some really obscure words in the lists, and the bigger games are more likely to trigger them. I'm sure Wordle has its fair share of uncommon words, but word a day is slow going. Really good word I thought, gave a good challenge

    Ah yesterday's word. I was reading some of your comments about the word being difficult and I was thinking to myself god I thought it was easy enough, I thought everyone knew what a swarm of locus was.

    Then I looked up word locus and realised it was totally different word🤣🤣🤣🤣

    Lucky for me my spelling let me down and I thought a 6 letter word was a 5 letter word.

    I would have only known yesterday's LOCUS as a singular form of LOCI, having learnt if from molecular biology from college. Wordle does turn out some niche words alright.
