A new life for the Mutton Island Lighthouse?

Hi all, I was wondering these days how lovely it would be if the Mutton Island Lighthouse was working again and made visitable, maybe in the form of a thematic art museum covering the same aspects of the Galway City Museum, or I don't know.. Am I the only that looks forward to this? Thank you, M.

It's surrounded by a wastewater treatment plant that's regularly running over capacity - not always the nicest place to visit!

It is disappointing that Bord Failte are not promoting it. They should have a scratch n sniff postcard promotion
