Replacement parts for freestanding cooker

I have an old Jackson 40145 freestanding cooker, sturdy body in good condition. One of the oven elements has failed, I am unable to locate a replacement online. My manual covers both the 40122 and 40145.

An oven element is available for the 40122 - 230mm wide, the 40145 is 125mm wide. The brackets for both appear similar. Is it silly to chance purchasing the 40122 replacement element.

if you go on EBay and search for Jackson/Creda oven element and the the one that is available if the measurements suits you will probably get it from Exsparetise in tullamore who are on the net

Thank you for the reply. I have been onto Exsparetise, they don't have one.

I am about to order a pair of 40122 oven side elements today from UK Whitegoods, they deliver to Ireland.

The element measurement matches in length, tag centre, width between spade terminals, plate width and length.

The difference is in width, but I can overcome this by connecting the element spade terminals the other way around (the wider part of the element placed uppermost). I believe I can do this - I hope it's safe to do so.

Your comments would be very much appreciated.

check those elements to see what voltage they are ie110 or 230 volts, if they are 230 any 230v element that you can shoehorn into it will do.(I cant remember whether they were wired in series or parallel thus the voltage}.

The element shown in my previous post is for Jackson 40122 main oven, which is a similar cooker to my Jackson 40145

Do you know of any UK companies delivering spares to Ireland?

register with An Post for a UK address and get it sent that way

The oven Elements arrived today from UKWhiteGoods.co.uk - I would definitely deal with this Company again - their prices are good and they are fast and efficient.

There's a job here for you if you want it (joking).

When the oven element failed, I went shopping for a replacement Cooker and couldn't get over how flimsy the new ones are. Hence desperately seeking the replacement element.

PS. I am getting a 40 day run on the old Siemens fridge freezer, an overnight rest and back on it goes again for another run. Using it as a spare has been a God send during the Pandemic.

I really appreciate that you take the time to offer so much advice on Boards.
